This week Pastor Ralph talked to us about pride in our lives. He talked about how pride can come in many different forms but how it is still disobedience to God. He shared with us that there is good pride, like being proud of a job well done. But a bad pride that says that you or what you have done is better than someone else.

This week Pastor Nate shared about how Nathan the prophet was told by God to go talk to King David about some sin that was in his life. Pastor Nate showed us that with God`s strength and leading sometimes we are to go to people, no matter how uncomfortable and show them the sin in their lives. Like Nathan with King David we need to remember to be in prayer, listening to God, be tactful and talk to people who are wise before going to someone to tell them their sin. We are then to be like King David who confessed and repented from his sin.

This week Pastor Ralph shared with us about having joy despite not always being happy. He shared with us that joy is supernatural but happiness can fleeting and self-fulfilling. God wants us to become more godly and live the life that he has planned out for us. He doesn’t want us to just sit around doing nothing but he wants us to be learning, growing and searching for him.  We need to have devotion in the times of waiting.
