Campus Questions - Pt. 1

This week I'm excited to start a new series that will walk us through some of the objections people have to Christianity. While these questions commonly emerge in the campus settings of high schools and universities the reality is that these remain the objections that people carry into their adulthood. That means our unbelieving neighbours, coworkers and friends have likely taken in some of these objections and these are part of the reason why they are not interested in following Jesus. We're going to spend a few weeks addressing these in order to help all of us better understand our own faith and help us engage with the people around us who are dying to know the true story of the world and their place in it.

Questions to Ponder:

  1. Read Micah 6:8 - According to the Prophet Micah the moral dimensions of true goodness are ____________, __________, and ___________.

  2. In John 4:39-42, imagine the woman was reflecting back on her life so far - how do you think she would feel now compared to before she met Jesus?

  3. The objections to God’s goodness are usually very personal, before “answering” someones objections, what other steps need to happen first?

  4. In John 10:17-18, why is it significant that Jesus lays his life down of His own free will? How does this refute the story of an “angry God who kills his son?”

  5. What/who do you see people “imitating” in our world? What ways do these things leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled?

  6. Why do people care about wheather God is Good? Because people are designed to ________.
